Your lifetime’s deeds, both virtuous and sinful, are tallied in King Yama’s divine computer, determining your next rebirth, family circumstances, and the trajectory of your destiny.
In this moment, Mahavatar and Brahma hover over your head, offering solace and encouraging you to cultivate boundless compassion. Even those who led lives of darkness can now embrace light and kindness. Seizing this opportunity can lead to a more auspicious reincarnation.
The God of Fire incinerates the impurities of your past deeds, while the God of Water washes away your sins. The Emperor diligently calculates your accumulated merits and arranges the wealth and resources destined for your next life. The God of Solid Earth recycles the elements—earth, water, fire, wind, space, and consciousness—you once used, returning them to the material world. These transitions are vividly displayed, frame by frame, in your visual cortex.
Finally, the Wind God on your left shoulder gently separates your spiritual consciousness from your physical body. At this moment, ordinary souls can perceive the gamma waves emitted by the Guardian God guiding your reincarnation. From mid-air, you glance back at your mortal remains, witnessing the impermanence of life. You recall the Buddha’s teachings on the universal truths of suffering and the path to liberation. With a growing detachment from the human realm, the Eight Great Bodhisattvas descend, holding a golden platform. They escort your spiritual consciousness to the other shore.
